DAgostini also reiterated his hopes to have the department examined by a third party. He has already gotten in touch with many outside sources and said the circumstances surrounding the infamous PJs Roadhouse undercover audio recording could possibly be investigated. Throughout the campaign DAgostini met with members of a motorcycle group at the roadhouse in Shingle Springs and his statements had been recorded by sheriffs personnel, leading to the Therkildsen campaign connecting DAgostini to outlaw gangs. The tactic drew harsh criticism from DAgostini supporters.
